Trysta A. Bissett is a writer, producer, and editor. She worked for many years as a producer and post production supervisor for SSS Entertainment. She co-produced the feature film WHITE RABBIT, starring Nick Krause (THE DESCENDANTS), Sam Trammell (TRUE BLOOD), and Britt Robertson (TOMORROWLAND). The film won Best Feature at the Catalina Film Festival. She also co-produced the feature thriller ALL MISTAKES BURIED, starring Sam Trammell and Vanessa Ferlito (DEATH PROOF). Her most recent credits include associate producer on BLOOD HEIST, directed by Jenna Cavelle.      

With writing partner Preston DeFrancis, Trysta co-wrote THE BIG PRODUCTION, which received a Student Emmy. Their thriller script A TEACHER’S OBSESSION, starring Mia Rose Frampton (BRIDESMAIDS), Molly Hagan (SULLY), and Boti Bliss (CSI: MIAMI) was produced by Mar Vista Entertainment and aired on Lifetime. Trysta and Preston were featured on the Black List TV Writers Staffing Book for their sitcom spec ASSISTED LIVING. Together they wrote and produced their signature horror film RUIN ME, which won Best Feature at the Women in Horror Film Festival and the Audience Award for Best Feature at the Philadelphia Unnamed Film Festival. They are currently writing supernatural thriller AFTER THE SUMMER.

Trysta’s animated feature script PONY AT LARGE was a Nicholl semi-finalist. Two of her horror short stories were published in the genre fiction anthology series JOURNEYS OF WONDER. She also wrote for several online publications, promoting local Los Angeles curiosities, including The Great Horror Campout, The Museum of Death, and Obscura Society.

Trysta is a BS Telecommunications graduate of Ohio University and holds an MFA in Screenwriting from the University of Southern California.
