Troy Anthony Miller is a writer, filmmaker, and improv comedian who lives in Los Angeles by way of Austin, Texas. He has taught improvisational storytelling to businesses such as Whole Foods and Google, and his comedy troupe Confidence Men: Improvised David Mamet is a two-time winner of the B. Iden Payne Award for Best Improvisational Theatre. His feature film Severance made its World Premiere at AFF in 2005, and his screenplay The Hitch was the 2013 AFF Horror Award Winner, subsequently optioned by Frank Darabont’s Darkwoods Productions. Since recently moving to Los Angeles, Troy has done rewrites on the Mira Sorvino thriller Beneath the Leaves, and was named one of “25 Screenwriters to Watch 2016” by MovieMaker Magazine. Troy is also a Comedy Finalist at this year’s fest with his feature screenplay The Olympian.
