ROGER BEAN is the Founder and President of Stage Rights. Established in 2000, Stage Rights has fast become one of the leading independent theatrical publishers of new plays and musicals in the United States, administering stock and amateur performance rights throughout the country and abroad.
As a playwright, Mr. Bean created the long-running off-Broadway hit The Marvelous Wonderettes (Westside Theatre, Kirk Theatre Revival), along with the sequels Wonderettes: Caps & Gowns, Winter Wonderettes, and Wonderettes: Dream On. Original cast albums for all Wonderettes shows are available from iTunes and Amazon. The Marvelous Wonderettes received the 2007 LA Ovation Award for Best Musical for its record-breaking Los Angeles run, and continues to be an audience favorite in regional and amateur theater companies throughout the country, with over 500 different productions in the past ten years. Mr. Bean's jukebox hit Life Could Be A Dream had a record-breaking 12-month run in Los Angeles, receiving the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award and the LA Weekly Theatre Award for Outstanding Musical.
