Brothers Nick and Josh Holden co-founded the Austin,TX based, film and video production company Mishnoon in 2007. The Holden Brothers, have made over an estimated 100 short form videos, including web series, music videos, music documentaries, and web and TV commercials. Over the last eight years, they have been writing features and have completed multiple feature scripts. The Golden Rut, which they filmed in September of 2015, premiered on the festival circuit in the Fall of 2016, starting with the Austin Film Festival, where it was so popular they added a third buzz screening. This is the first feature they have filmed and they are well on their way to shooting their second, ideally in the early part of 2018. The Golden Rut recently won best feature at the Los Angeles Sunset Film Festival. The Brothers got their start filming music, and have been lucky to spend a significant amount of time filming such legendary musicians as Willie Nelson, T-Bone Burnett, Kris Kristofferson, and Bonnie Raitt. They filmed the behind the scenes for the score of the Oscar/Grammy winning film Crazy Heart. They have also worked with tons of Austin musicians including Alejandro Escovedo, Bob Schneider, and most recently filmed Black Joe Lewis and Hayes Carll’s last music video. They’ve also worked for reputable companies such as, The American Red Cross, Sony Music, IMAX and many more. Their web series, The Fleshlife, was selected to be a part of SXSW in 2011.
