writer/producer Into the Badlands, Turn: Washington's Spies, Carried By Six
Born and raised in Los Angeles, LaToya Morgan is a graduate of the American Film Institute Conservatory where she received a MFA in Screenwriting. She’s an alumna of several prestigious fellowships including the Warner Bros. Television Writers’ Workshop, the Producers Guild Power of Diversity Fellowship, Film Independent’s Producer’s Lab, and the WGA’s Feature Access Project. She’s been a writer on Shameless, Parenthood, Complications, Into the Badlands and all four seasons of TURN: Washington’s Spies where she’s a Co-Executive Producer and was honored with a 2016 and 2017 NAACP Image Award nomination for Outstanding Writing in a Drama Series. She recently inked a two-year overall deal with AMC to write and develop new series for the network. On the feature front, Morgan adapted the bestselling crime novel Two Minute Rule for Original Film and her spec crime thriller Carried By Six is being produced by Barry Josephson with Matt Ruskin (Crown Heights) attached to direct. Morgan serves of the WGA Diversity Advisory Group committee and is a member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
