Kai was born in Taiwan and raised in Salisbury, Maryland. She spent most of her days hanging out at Wal-Marts until she purchased a diary from aisle 9 and discovered her calling as a writer.  After graduating from Carnegie Mellon University, she moved to Los Angeles where she got her start working at The Gersh Agency.  Kai's credits include NBC's Hannibal and CW's The Flash.  She is a writer/producer on the upcoming show Deception on ABC.
