Jimmy Mosqueda is a lifelong California resident, the son of Mexican immigrants, and a graduate of Stanford University. His high school dark comedy VALEDICTORIAN was a finalist in the Comedy Screenplay category at the 2015 Austin Film Festival. After Austin, Jimmy took the script to the 2016 Sundance Institute’s Screenwriters Intensive, where he workshopped it with his mentors Scott Neustadter and Kyle Patrick Alvarez. The script was optioned soon after and is now in pre-production. Jimmy was also a 2016-17 Film Independent Writing Fellow and is currently a 2017 TV Writing Fellow with the National Hispanic Media Coalition. He has written projects for various production companies, and his latest dark TV comedy is in development with Sofia Vergara’s company, Raze. This year, Jimmy wrote the short film THE STATION, which premiered at the 2017 LA Film Festival.
