Erin Hallagan is the founder of Story Bar, an Austin-based multi-disciplinary arts initiative featuring storytelling and the exploration of the human condition through community-driven programming. Prior to Story Bar, Erin served as Creative Director of the Austin Film Festival & Writers Conference, in addition to producing the festival’s PBS affiliated television show On Story. She is currently on the board of the Austin Film Festival, Austin Emerging Art Leaders, and recently co-produced the inaugural Creatives Meets Business Experience, a conference catered for artist entrepreneurs and creative small-business owners. Before moving to Austin, Erin was a screenwriting and playwriting instructor at the Graduate School of Washington DC, as well as the Programs Manager at Rock Creek Park Horse Center's Equestrian School. Erin is a graduate of Theatre and Media Arts from Temple University. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, reading, yoga, meditation, and exploring the beautiful Texas Hill Country with her dog, Gus.
