Christina Hodson

writer Transformers: Bumblebee (2018)
Christina Hodson transitioned from development executive to screenwriter in 2012 and has started to make a name for herself writing muscular, female-driven stories in traditionally male-dominated genres.

Her first three spec scripts featured on the Black List three years in a row. One of these was the female-driven action sci-fi THE EDEN PROJECT, which sold in a bidding war to Sony. Shortly thereafter, she was hired to write THE FUGITIVE reboot for Warner Bros.

In 2015, she participated in the TRANSFORMERS writers room for Paramount/Hasbro and was subsequently hired to write the BUMBLEBEE stand-alone movie. Hailee Steinfeld is starring and Travis Knight (KUBO & THE TWO STRINGS) is directing for a December 2018 release.

Her first spec and her first studio assignment have both been made into movies. SHUT IN starred Naomi Watts in 2016 and UNFORGETTABLE, starring Rosario Dawson and Katherine Heigl, was released by Warner Bros in 2017.

She is currently working with Steven Spielberg on an original project at Amblin/Dreamworks; with Margot Robbie on a feature in the DC Universe at Warner Bros; and with Fox2000 on a female-centric action epic.

Christina is half-Asian, born and raised in London, and now lives in Los Angeles.
