Adam Pava wrote the stop-motion hit The Boxtrolls, which earned a 2015 Oscar nomination for Best Animated Feature. He is currently adapting the graphic novel series The Stuff of Legend for Walt Disney Studios, writing an original musical for DreamWorks Animation, and developing a hybrid sports-comedy for Legendary Pictures. He has contributed to multiple projects in the Lego Movie franchise at Warner Brothers, and continues to develop future films for the stop-motion studio Laika. The first script he wrote was named one of the “Six Best Unproduced Animated Screenplays” by Written By, the magazine of the Writers’ Guild of America. Before transitioning to movies, Adam spent 10 years in television. In 2006, he co-wrote and executive produced the hybrid live-action/animation TV movie Re-Animated, Cartoon Network’s highest rated TV movie at the time. He has written for Cartoon Network (Foster’s Home For Imaginary Friends, Johnny Bravo), Adult Swim (Harvey Birdman: Attorney At Law), MTV (Clone High), Nickelodeon (Glenn Martin DDS), Dreamworks TV, and the Jim Henson Company.
