I studied theatre at Northwestern University and was extremely fortunate to also study and later teach at The Piven Theatre Workshop in Evanston, Ill. I worked and finally earned my unions cards and then I went back to school earning my MFA in Theatre from Sarah Lawrence College. I have been living overseas for most of the past decade and am excited to settle down in Austin and start acting/writing/studying/doing improv again. I have missed it so much. Thrilled to finally circle back to my passions - anything to do with writing, acting and working on the plight of dogs around the globe and the improvements we can make through basic education and compassion. My project, my dream is huge -right now a bit daunting. Wondering if the idea sprouted when I was 15 and will die with me talking on and on about it... BUT, I have been pouring over the festival's incredible line up for hours and the voices of the naysayers are bowing to inspiration, creativity, talent, passion, certain failure and brush offs and the sheer will to create, entertain, touch, tell a story, educate, on and on. I just love it and cannot wait!
