James Hibbard's screenwriting has been recognized by The Sundance Institute, The PAGE Screenwriting Awards, The Honolulu Film Awards, and the Austin Film Festival. His feature-length screenplays include: THE CONTESTANT (2017) THE CYCLIST (2016), and THE EVENING LAND (2015) and he has written and directed short films for several global consumer brands in the outdoor industry.

James has also reviewed fiction for the respected literary magazine Ploughshares, and was selected to be part of the Tin House Writer's Workshop in 2016. He is currently working to complete his first novel.
