I'm a screenwriter and producer in Austin, and I'm thrilled that two of my scripts, "Honor" (co-written with writer Andy Olson) and "A Self Made Man" got Second Rounded. "Honor" is a Southern Gothic tale, with supernatural elements, set in Depression-era Kentucky; "A Self Made Man" is the story of a closeted, ambitious young man from small-town Louisiana, as he navigates marriage, fame, the world of Top 40 A.M. Radio, 1970s Southern Gay Pride, and the ensuing decades of loss and redemption. I'm currently writing a spec television pilot and producing a short doc on the transformative power of makeup.
