It's the End of the World as We Know It: Writing Dystopian Stories

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Panelists who flirted with (fictional) disaster in the most calamitous ways will discuss the research, rules, and resonance needed to successfully create dystopian worlds that are as rich as they are desperate. The success often lies in harnessing the fear of things not yet in existence, but easily imagined. From post-apocalyptic chaos to totalitarianism, writers will discuss the importance of outlining, psychology, and tone when capturing dystopia on the page.
