Allen’s life revolves around one thing: blues records. The high school teacher by day has amassed a huge amount of records over the years, but in 1987, he comes across an old lady with an ultra-rare 1930s record. Competing with a rival record collector, Allen attempts to con the old lady out of the record. When a series of unfortunate circumstances sends both Allen and his opponent to jail, the feud festers for over 20 years until they are released from prison and get a second chance at snagging the record this time from a more formidable foe.
