Mills, a 12 year old kid on the verge of becoming a man, doesn’t feel safe at home. His abusive step father lurks around every corner. Mills turns to tagging as a way to make his mark on the world. He decides to join the football team, even though he’s half the size of the other boys. Tim Moellering is a humble middle school coach in Berkeley California who believes that there is no such thing as a bad kid, only a bad situation. Coach finds it in his heart to honor his tryout and recognize that there might be more going on than what appears on the surface of the walls.
